Living in a serious flood zone on Anna Maria Island, FL, this homeowner wanted to proactively protect valuable belongings from the possibility of water damage during a catastrophic weather event. With impressive 14' ceilings in the garage, the space offered the perfect opportunity to take storage vertically and safely out of harm’s way.
To maximize both safety and functionality, we designed a smart high-ceiling storage strategy utilizing a powered Auxx Lift platform system along with a motorized Garage Gator bike lift. The 4' x 8' Auxx Lift provides 600 lbs of carry capacity for bulky long-term storage items, while the Garage Gator bike lift safely stores the homeowner’s 80+ pound e-bikes overhead with a 225 lb capacity system. The layout was carefully planned to maintain open light flow throughout the garage while also working around the roll-up door motor and keeping both lift systems highly usable. Gabe and Jake completed the entire installation in about half a day, creating a clean, flood-conscious storage solution designed for long-term convenience and peace of mind.
