This homeowner in Sarasota, FL came to us after hearing firsthand from a neighbor about the benefits of elevated garage storage during the most recent hurricanes. Their neighbor had previously worked with our team and was able to safely keep many stored belongings above the flood waterline — making hurricane preparation a major priority when this client moved into their new home.
To create a practical and flood-conscious storage solution, we designed a custom cabinet layout that kept all cabinetry installed 16" off the ground to help better protect belongings during potential water events. The design featured sleek white commercial-grade cabinets along with a functional blind corner cabinet that maximized storage capacity while smoothly bridging the corner of the garage. We also intentionally left open access to the home’s breaker panel, ensuring the homeowners could easily reach it for electric vehicle charging setup or future troubleshooting needs without sacrificing the overall flow of the storage system.
The final result delivered a clean, organized, and highly functional garage layout designed with both daily convenience and long-term storm preparedness in mind. Jesse, Lawson, Barron, and Jake completed the entire project in just one day.
